Rugby Widife Group regular Thursday work party at #AshlawnCuttingLNR saw us back on the slopes cutting and raking grasslands. In bright sunshine after a chilly feeling start.

Ivy Bee,Small Copper,Speckle Wood and Common Blue seen yesterday at the North end of #AshlawnCuttingLNR. We've seen a few Brimstones too,mostly relocating to cover in Bramble or Ivy. End of season is nigh!! @bcwarwickshire.bsky.social
Main cut and collect of grasslands at #AshlawnCuttingLNR continued today in unseasonable heat. We started South of Ashlan Rd. Bridge and the 5th picture shows the bridge under construction with thelast 2 showing the work area from the bridge itself including overwintering areas.
Despite thedrought vegetation at #AshlawnCuttingLNR has grown lush and long. Another day into the annual cut and rake saw good progress by our Sunday crew.See before and after pics... We even saw a Brimstone changing position but couldn't find it in the Ivy!
Annual main cut at #AshlawnCuttingLNR continues....we'll be leaving about half uncut and returning to cut half of that uncut area in Spring.
