A rough attempt at drawing a Caribbean Reef Octopus for world octopus day
#Artofthungus

#artofthungus

A very work in progress picture, mostly because I’m practicing stuff with it. But it’s a fiendish figure with very broad shoulders , it’s got asymmetrical horns, it’s wearing a hood and its face is suspended in the air. It has a large fuzzy mane

Day 30 of #rbswordtember (Deadly-Sin) On Mrekreshii the hydra is seen as a symbol of great avarice, so voracious that its multitude of heads tore through the original, not to better feed itself but to deprive others of food. The Hydra Chainsword replicates this myth in metal and wire
#Artofthungus

#Artofthungus #WeaponArt #B&Wart

A sword with a spool within the center, the hilt is supposed to look like partially collapsed moth wings, the handle has a trigger rod that is compressed to shoot the threaded spike at the top of the sword out and pushed back outward to return the spike to its housing. The blade has the thread of the spool running through it attached to said spike

Day 16 of #rbswordtember (Leviathan) Another one I’m doing two designs for. The Drowning Knell (story in the alt text for that one) and The Barbarian Blade from Monster Hunter.
#Artofthungus #WeaponArt #MHart #B&Wart

A blade that seems to be made of an eel spine, the pommel has the eel mouth and an eel eye at the center. The hand guards look like a mix of fins and gills. The handle is covered in fish scale. The weapon has water wrapped around it and floating eyes.
Now here’s the story bit:
In an eon past, the giants were in a decade long war. So they dredged up a great nameless beast and fashioned its bones into a blade. But the thing from the darkest waters was not content to just let lie. At first it thrashed and wailed inside the mind, but then it became more pointed and focused. It would do what it had done in life, drag its prey down into the depths. Some say the dreaded weapon still exists and to fear the call of the Drowning Knell

The Barbarian Blade. A katana (Long Sword) made from Lagiacrus and large fish parts. The blade is reminiscent of waves

Day 15 of #rbswordtember (Lost)
A mysterious katana stuck in crystal
(Story in the alt text)
#Artofthungus #WeaponArt #B&Wart

“As we continued our expedition into the caverns of this land, we stumbled upon a clearing in the Rising Tooth Cave, known for its magnificent yet strangely shaped quartz deposits. In this clearing stood hundreds of downturned swords of similar make. Yet half of the blades of the weapons was encased in crystal. Another curiosity was that the leather while frayed hadn’t been rotted. But we figured that one way or another these were memorials, either by the other troops or the defending force striking their foes down with great stone arcana”
