Should we take this to mean that the CuCåCå pattern is just *CuCāC-, with no gemination and preservation of the *u? You get sporadic preservation of *u in this position elsewhere in #Aramaic and #Hebrew (like Biblical Aramaic *qudām > qŏḏām; but contrast Syriac qḏåm). But how to explain tukå?
