Our next #SpeciesOfTheMonth is the chameleon among frogs, the Moor Frog 🐸. He lives in fens, bogs and marshes where shallow water provides important breeding places. #LIFEproject #LIFE4AquaticWarbler restores habitats not only for #AquaticWarbler but also for other wetland species. #Biodiversity

#Monitoring

3 versch. Standorte (Mai-Juli):

#AquaticWarbler #Biodiversity #Naturschutz

How do we know where #AquaticWarbler migrate? 🤔
Thanks to bird ringing, we know migration routes, stopover sites and where they spend the winter. Every observation #MigrationWatch helps to better protect Europe's rarest migratory songbird. #LIFE4AquaticWarbler #LIFEproject #BirdRinging

🪶 The severe #drought across large parts of Europe is putting the survival of the critically endangered #AquaticWarbler at even greater risk.

Wet meadows and fens are the Aquatic Warbler’s habitat, where water levels influence vegetation, the density of insects and nesting spots.
