Weapons for profit, cuts for us?
Against rearmament and social cuts!

We are all living in a time of crisis – one piece of bad news follows another:

Wages are stagnating or falling, rents and heating costs are rising, and food is becoming more expensive.

Jobs are being cut as part of rationalisation measures, and social benefits are being reduced or scrapped.

The retirement age is set to be raised, whilst health insurance benefits are being further scaled back.

Every day, people die in one of the many wars around the world – often fuelled by German weapons.

Millions are fleeing because of war and poverty.

Forest fires and droughts, torrential rain and floods are ruining harvests and destroying livelihoods – climate change has long since become impossible to ignore here too.

And although cuts are being made left, right and centre, Germany is undergoing massive rearmament and society is being prepared for war.

Join us at our rally on 3 October 2026, from 2 pm to 6 pm at Luisenplatz in Potsdam.

Together with other organisations, we want to come together, exchange ideas and join forces.

Waffen für Profite, Kürzungen für uns?
Gegen Aufrüstung und Sozialkahlschlag!

Wir alle leben in einer Zeit von Krisen – eine schlechte Nachricht jagt die andere:

Löhne stagnieren oder sinken, Mieten und Heizkosten steigen, und Lebensmittel werden teurer.

Arbeitsplätze werden wegrationalisiert und Sozialleistungen gekürzt oder gestrichen.

Das Renteneintrittsalter soll angehoben werden, während Krankenkassenleistungen weiter eingedampft werden.

Jeden Tag sterben Menschen in einem der vielen Kriege dieser Welt – oft auch mit deutschen Waffen befeuert.

Millionen sind wegen Krieg und Armut auf der Flucht.

Waldbrände und Dürren, Starkregen und Hochwasser ruinieren Ernten und vernichten Lebensgrundlagen – der Klimawandel ist längst auch hier nicht mehr zu übersehen.

Und obwohl an allen Ecken und Enden gespart werden soll, wird in Deutschland massiv aufgerüstet und die Gesellschaft auf Krieg eingeschworen.

Kommt zu unserer Kundgebung am 3. Oktober 2026, von 14 bis 18 Uhr beim Luisenplatz in Potsdam.

Gemeinsam mit anderen Organisationen wollen wir zusammenkommen, uns austauschen und unsere Kräfte bündeln.

How Asia is arming itself
Perspectives from the Philippines, South Korea and Japan

War and colonialism have never left Asia.

Now that Germany’s militarisation is becoming increasingly apparent, we must discuss how German rearmament is linked to human rights violations across Asia.

Amidst the endless ‘war on terror’ and the intensifying second Cold War with China, the militarisation of the entire region, led by the US and Japan, is also accelerating.

Building on decades of resistance to colonialism and dictatorships, people in the Philippines and South Korea are resolutely fighting back against the renewed militarisation of the present day.

In Japan, too, there are ongoing struggles to prevent a repeat of its history of conquest.

What forces are driving the militarisation of Asia? What role is Germany playing? And what can the German movement learn from the anti-militarisation struggles in Asia?

At this event, three activists will share experiences from their respective countries, including historical background and current struggles.

Everything is interconnected – and so must our struggle be!

Wie Asien aufrüstet

Krieg und Kolonialismus haben Asien nie verlassen.

Jetzt, da die Militarisierung Deutschlands immer deutlicher wird, müssen wir darüber sprechen, wie das deutsche Aufrüsten mit Menschenrechtsverletzungen in ganz Asien zusammenhängt.

Inmitten des endlosen „Kriegs gegen den Terror“ und des sich verschärfenden zweiten Kalten Krieges mit China, beschleunigt sich auch die von den USA und Japan angeführte Militarisierung in der gesamten Region.

Aufbauend auf ihrem jahrzehntelangen Widerstand gegen Kolonialismus und Diktaturen wehren sich die Menschen auf den Philippinen und in Südkorea entschlossenen gegen die neu entfachte Militarisierung der Gegenwart.

Auch in Japan gibt es anhaltende Kämpfe, um eine Wiederholung der Eroberungsgeschichte zu verhindern.

Welche Kräfte treiben die Militarisierung Asiens? Welche Rolle spielt Deutschland? Und was kann die deutsche Bewegung von den Anti-Militarisierungs-Kämpfen in Asien lernen?

Bei dieser Veranstaltung teilen drei Aktivist*innen Erfahrungen aus ihren jeweiligen Ländern, einschließlich historischer Hintergründe und aktueller Kämpfe.

Alles hängt zusammen – und so muss auch unser Kampf zusammenhängen!
