A highly detailed golden automaton styled as an ancient Egyptian perfumer sits inside a monumental temple workshop. The figure occupies most of the frame, shown from the thighs upward and turned slightly toward the right. Its smooth metallic face resembles an idealized Egyptian sculpture, with dark inset eyes, a serene expression, and an enormous engraved headdress rising high above its head. Fine hieroglyphic-like markings, geometric bands, and weathered ornament cover the bronze and gold surfaces.

The automaton's body is an intricate network of exposed rods, pistons, gears, cables, circular joints, and engraved armor plates. Mechanical fingers extend delicately in front of its torso, cradling a tiny articulated device as though carefully measuring or preparing a precious fragrance. Cylindrical vessels and elaborate machinery rise behind its shoulders, connected by thin tubes and wires. Wisps of pale blue and gray vapor curl around the machinery, suggesting heated oils, incense, or aromatic distillation.

Several pale stone perfume vessels dominate the lower-left foreground, their rounded forms contrasting with the machine's angular metal construction. Massive carved columns and sandstone architecture fill the background, softened by haze and warm amber light. A brazier glows at the right edge, adding firelight to the predominantly bronze and ochre scene. The overall image blends ancient Egyptian craftsmanship with elaborate clockwork technology, presenting the automaton as both ceremonial figure and precision artisan.
