Today we were exploring relaxed painting in Art Class, using technique of Wet on Wet with acrylics. First splashes of water, then dabbing colour into it. Both "Autumn Border" & "Rowan Corner" are awaiting further contrasts & added definition. 🖼 🍂 🎨 🌳 🖌 #AmPainting #Trees #AutumnColour

All picked out in splashy dabs of blue, pink, orange & green against hazy red brick wall behind."Rowan Corner" shows a mature rowan tree with bunches of scarlet berries & green leaves against a blue sky. Purple branches & trunk and two lime-green shrubs beneath with a metal fence in front. All is lightly sketched in transparent washes with some more vivid details on top.

Finished my painting of Begonias in Art Class today. Aiming for contrasts of muted vs vibrant colours and geometric vs organic shapes. I do like that these rows of pots and tins look like decorative panels containing the flowers at the centre. 🎨 🖌 🌺 #AmPainting
