It's #amoktime day and Gia Sandhu's birthday so I drew the two T'Prings as manga schoolgirls - as one does!

@purpleenma.bsky.socialHappy 60th Birthday Star Trek 🖖✨
Let's keep the fandom alive for another 60 years and more!
@radadventures.bsky.socialAnother great night seeing #StarTrek III: The Search for Spock with the original episode #AmokTime as a double feature to celebrate the 60th anniversary. Our friends Brad and Keung joined us again, plus we secured the third popcorn bucket and drink cup combo. #StarTrek60 #StarTrekTheSearchForSpock 🖖
@mirrorayako.universeodon.com.ap.brid.gyYou really shouldn’t volunteer yourself for something if you don’t know the rules.
@mirrorayako.universeodon.com.ap.brid.gyChapel’s reaction when Spock says T’Pring is his wife: Say what?!
@mirrorayako.universeodon.com.ap.brid.gyChapel says she’ll take one for the team to save Spock’s life from the terrible Pon Farr.
@mirrorayako.universeodon.com.ap.brid.gyThis is what happens when you repress your feelings 24/7.
@mirrorayako.universeodon.com.ap.brid.gySomeone is feeling a little randy.
@kcarr2015.bsky.socialI thought the #StarTrek #AmokTime #SearchForSpock pairing hit harder. They aren't sequels, but thematic pairings of how far the crew will go to save their friend.
Watching Kirk, along with the crew, defy orders to save #Spock AGAIN, lose his son and lose the Enterpise almost brought a tear.

@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyA couple of odd contradictions with later media:
- Chapel had to tell #Spock her first name was Christine in #AmokTime, but of course Spock knew her intimately in #StarTrekSNW
- In the #StarTrek3 #Savik mentions that Pon Farr only happens to #Vulcan males every 7 years, but obviously T'Pol went […]
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gy#AmokTime + #StarTrek3 #TheSearchForSpock pair surprisingly well. Both have parallels like:
- Spock no longer himself
- secret #Vulcan rituals to save Spock: Pon Farr and Katra reintergration
- Kirk disobeys orders
- a journey to Vulcan
- T'Pau as the ceremonial master
- finale reunion of healed […]

There is apparently a #StarTrek 60th Anniversary event at theaters from September 4th to the 8th where they match episodes with movies. #SpaceSeed + #TheWrathOfKhan were today. #AmokTime + #TheSearchForSpock are on Sunday. I dunno who made the 8th "Marathon Day" cuz that's a work day. […]
