HALLOWEEN ON McLELLAN AVE. — Halloween displays are back at 437 and 440 McLellan Ave. Both homes are collecting non-perishable food and cash for the #Amherstburg Food and Fellowship Mission. The displays are open Thursday & Sunday from dusk-9 p.m. and Friday & Saturday from dusk-10 p.m.

Admirals improve to 3-6 on the year with a 5-2 win tonight on home ice versus Dresden. Finnigan Russett, Cooper Woodman (2), Cory Leach and Brayden Hebert with the #Amherstburg goals.
Kings outshot Admirals 47-41 on the night.
Next game for Amherstburg is Thursday night at Walpole Island.

Night 2 of the #Amherstburg Chamber candidate nights is tonight (Oct. 8) at the McGregor Columbian Club. The deputy mayor debate is 5:30-6:45 p.m. and mayor is 7-9:30 p.m.

Blades outshot the Admirals 35-26 on the night. Amherstburg drops to 2-6 on the PJHL Stobbs Division season.

WOLVES FALL TO L'ESSOR — The North Star Wolves fell to 0-3 on the WECSSAA senior football season after a 27-7 loss to L'Essor Oct. 2 in #Amherstburg. Grayson Wilson had a 16-yard TD run for the Wolves. North Star hosts St. Joseph Oct. 9 at 5:30 p.m.

Admirals lose 5-1 tonight in Mooretown. Matthew Gomes' first goal of the season was the only goal for #Amherstburg. Admirals drop to 2-5 on the season.
Flags outshot the Admirals 37-33 on the night.
Next game for Amherstburg is Sunday at 7 p.m. in Blenheim. They return home Oct. 10 against Dresden.

TERRY FOX RUN — North Star High School in #Amherstburg held its Terry Fox Run Sept. 29 and managed to reach their goal of $1,300. Junior grades went out first followed by the senior grades with raffle prizes available to be won by the students.

BIG BUCKS IN BAKE SALE — A bake sale and lemonade stand was held at Chartwell Amherstburg Sept. 24 as a fundraiser for the Miracle League of #Amherstburg. Elly Weese, fun manager at Chartwell, stands with Miracle League players Dan Boehm, Megan Kelly and Lindsay James. They raised $1,266.

Essex defeats #Amherstburg 3-2 tonight at the Libro Centre. Alex Schneider and Matteo Zuech with the Admirals' goals.
The 73's outshot the Admirals 73-17 on the night, including 35-3 in the third period. Bennett Horrocks with 70 saves.
Next game for the Admirals is next Saturday in Mooretown.

The #Amherstburg Firefighters Association presented their fourth annual "Fire in the Hole" cornhole tournament Sept. 26 at the Columbian Club Hall in McGregor. Roughly 30 teams participated and early estimates have the tournament raising $15,000. Proceeds will go back into the community.
