This was a print from a weekend demo I did with my BFA & MFA students showcasing the #mordançage process in the #darkroom, and while I initially labeled it a failure, I belligerently worked on it until I was content with it, teaching a valuable lesson I deeply believe about #altpro:

Still sharing some demo prints made within the last few weeks of my #altpro Handmade Photos class at #uaf ; really digging creating without expectations,

as they started to see the endless possibilities of #chemigrams - and then realizing you can mix it with lumens, photograms, and cyanotypes - #altpro is so welcoming, diverse, and always wonderfully unique.

Either way, I think it came out especially awesome after using the #sabattiereffect to #solarize the results in the darkroom - an #altpro two-for-one demo! I couldn’t pass up drawing up a mockup for what’s no doubt going to be the best album of the year.

I decided to reuse the plants for an #altpro #lumenprint and I’m pretty excited about these pre-fixed, fugitive colors. Didn’t do too many lumens this year but I’m teaching them in my #Handmade Photos class, so I’m inspired to have more examples for students!
