A retelling of The Song of Achilles, but with Ilya (Achilles) and Shane (Patroclus.)
@chiccadee.bsky.socialThe post for the letter "B" is up on Reddit! www.reddit.com/r/heatedriva...
I'll also be posting one or two fics here every day, including some that didn't make the post (because I stress about length, lol)
@chiccadee.bsky.socialFinished up reading the last fic for the letter "B" of the #AlternateUniverseProject! There are some real GEMS here, OMG. I'll be working on pulling together the reddit post and formatting it and it should be up tonight or tomorrow. 🎉🎉

A retelling of the story of Orpheus, where Ilya travels to the underworld to retrieve his mother. Shane is Hades. This was an INSTANT fave for me!

I was a little more surprised to find that this one didn't have any tagged fics! But mostly because I had already found some of my favorites (so far) tagged under Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome.

Not entirely surprised to not find any HR fics with this tag, but there might be fun things in the idea of Shane and Ilya being on opposite sides of a historical war!

Shane and Ilya are women who both get awarded the same art residency - together - which means they share an art studio for a year.
@chiccadee.bsky.socialI would be open to seeing more Hollanova fics! Many of them with this tag, though, are just beat-for-beat retellings of HR with genderbent characters, which is FINE but I always love to see expansion beyond that. (it's like... the POINT of #AlternateUniverseProject! )

@chiccadee.bsky.social"Alternate Universe - Alien Invasion"
There is one work that's tagged as this - but it's incomplete and abandoned. I honestly think this has so much potential, and I'm hoping someone has any leads on an Alien Invasion story starring Shane and Ilya!

@chiccadee.bsky.socialIn total, I identified 27 Alternate Universe tags on AO3 that begin with the letter "A." I'll go through tag by tag and post some of the fics I found on Bluesky.
