STOP MASS #SURVEILLANCE

Ban the federal government from purchasing or using Automatic License Plate Recognition like #Flock and ban the use of federal funds for anyone else to purchase or use #ALPRs.

If you live in San Mateo, tell council you want the City to end its surveillance of innocent people by submitting public comment at the October 5th city council meeting at 7PM.

Prepare a brief statement (1-2 minutes) and attend in person or via Zoom.

The 7PM meeting raises the City's draft response to the Civil Grand Jury findings that audits of the system were improper/inadequate (item 11).

The letter responds to the Jury's findings but does not address privacy and constitutional concerns raised by constituents.

Sharing this site for Miami folks. Miami Speed Camera Map is following RedSpeed in Miami-Dade County. Similar issues as with Flock, but not being used directly for law enforcement like Flock is.

89% (!!) of searches by Redwood City PD were not associated with a case number.
