Sneak peak of an Oc x Canon ship fic using the prompt “Don’t call me that.”. The ship is between my oc Angela (She/Her) and the canon character James Wesley from S1 of Daredevil. It reads: “Angela—“ he swallowed thickly around the sound of her name, one that used to bring comfort but now only brought up friction, “—dear, what—“ “Don’t call me that.” The words came out harsh and wrong and in one ragged breath. “Y-you” — she hesitated, her shivering frame lurching between fleeing from where she came from and approaching him— “don’t get to call me that.” Her gaze flit to the spreading pool of blood, his shoes, and then back to his face.
Chris also wanted to point out that maybe Langa had just wanted to talk and wanted an excuse. But he couldn't imagine them needing an excuse at this point to talk to each other. They'd at least been in this weird "we're not dating we're just friends" thing for awhile now. He also figured Nick could work that out on his own. Nick wasn't stupid and knew Langa better than that.
