Take a gander at Johnny's amazing #AdvX memories! 📸 Mix and mingle with narrative gaming fans, industry professionals and developers next month in London at #AdvX26! Tickets are available at www.tickettailor.com/events/adven...

@robertcrowther.bsky.socialOct 9, 2026, 4:11 PM

My first #AdvX event was back in 2014 when it was at LSBU the first time (in the Keyworth Centre). Saw several talks, including one from Sensible's Jon Hare! I think I also see @wadjeteyegames.com and the back of @misterabk.bsky.social 's head in my photos. Looking forward to #AdvX26 😀

View of inside the LSBU's Keyworth Centre of AdventureX in December 2014. The left side is wooden framed glass windows floor to ceiling, in front of me is the ramp giving access to the lecture theatre and between the two there are several tables set up with games being demonstrated.Jon Hare discusses Wizball during his talk at AdventureX 2014.A panel talk at AdventureX 2014, Dave Gilbert is there along with one of the developers of The Journey Down trilogy. Can't remember who the other two are, sorry.A talk at AdventureX 2014 with the rather distinctive hair of Alasdair Beckett-King a couple of rows in front of me. Can't remember what the talk was about, sorry.

If I had to choose, my favourite memory of AdventureX might be the extraordinary talk "I Saw What I Did There" from Brian Moriarty.

But really it's the many, many moments meeting this amazing community of game makers and fans, seeing old friends and making new ones. #AdvX #AdvX26

My favourite @adventurex.bsky.social memory was the first event I was part of the organising team.
People were sceptical of the event, and told me they wouldn't come. I posted on every damn forum under the sun.
I remember turning around and seeing PEOPLE.
