Autumn themes this time for my paintings. A set of three 4"x6" canvas boards. Waited this time for photos until they were dry and sealed. Considering some mixed media additions on at least one of these.

Attempt 3! Most of these paints I mixed myself rather than using what came in the starter kit I bought. However I did use the flat canvases that came with that kit and 2 of 3 curled, so I'm going to have to redo if I want to keep these colors. #pourpainting #creative #art #acrylicpouring

Sage green, champagne gold, burnt sienna, white, and black poured in ribbons over a thin base of white then stretched. With this one I learned that I should start the ribbon just off the edge of the canvas unless I want a large area of a color like the black in the upper right. The black was intentionally mixed a bit thinner in an attempt to make cells. Unfortunately I mistakenly bought Elmer's School Glue rather than Glue-All to make my own medium so waiting to see if these crack while drying--so far next morning looks good.Sage green, champagne gold, burnt sienna, white, and black poured in flip cup style for this one. Black mixed thinner and on the bottom of the cup to sink through the rest when flipped and left to sit a moment. I did go too heavy handed on the black layer which lost a lot of the other colors and/or raised too quickly. There wasn't much white and most of that vanished, the brown shows in a single spot which I do like, and the lacing I very much enjoy. This canvas sadly has currently curled quite a lot, though the paint hasn't cracked at this point.Sage green, champagne gold, burnt sienna, white, and black. This was sitting in a spot very difficult to photograph while wet, my "studio" space has an overhead light which caused the reflection in the top left, and my shadow in the bottom right. I don't know if I can get a better shot when dry as this canvas also curled. I used a five chamber split cup for this one, using the "magic wand" pour which was pouring over an empty paper towel tube wrapped in freezer paper that had been set diagonally across the canvas (this is 8"x10") propped up on small cups. I do like how this came out though it's pretty similar to the first canvas I did for this set with the ribbon pour I think. Still no cracking with this next morning, but it does seem to have the thickest paint and be less dry than the other two.

Did another learning session with pour painting last night. These didn't exactly work as I hoped, but I did make some mistakes that were good learning opportunities for the future and they still make me happy to look at them. #pourpainting #painting #acrylicpouring #art #creativity

Distinctly messy swirls of two shades of green, black, gray, white, and a bit of gold. This started as a ring pour attempt, but I misjudged and didn't use enough paint and had to add another swirl with slightly different proportions in the area that was most lacking.Wavy lines of gold, pink, blue, white and very subtle bits of silver. The overhead light is washing out the very top with a bright highlight at the tome of photographing. This canvas I originally fully messed up and scraped clean after a poor attempt at a swipe in the same colors as the previous. After, I tried a kiss pour here with pink, gold, and white in one cup, and blue, white, and silver in the other.
