I have 3 #OnePlaceStudies - a village (population c600), a #StreetStudy of 28 houses, & a home for inebriate women (total of no more than 100 people). I tend to hyperfocus on one at a time, but the focus shifts, so they all get their turn!
A question many one-placers ask ourselves often - #OnePlaceStudies are very addictive!

I can't for the life of me figure out how to access the #AATP26 content this year. The SOG website makes me log in again then rejects my login 🤦♀️

So far I’ve managed to watch precisely one talk - not surprising given that I work full time. 😔 But what a brilliant talk it was! Thanks to Linda Hammond, I’ll definitely be doing some mind-mapping to get the most from my research. #FamilyHistory #Genealogy #AATP26
Day 2 of All About That Place #AATP26, sponsored by the Society for #OnePlaceStudies, gets going at 7am. Today’s theme is Health and Medicine, which ties in with our Shared Endeavour next year – hence our sponsorship of the day! Check out the full programme on the Society of Genealogists website.
Same here! I was planning to attend the watch party and lost track of the time. 🤦#AATP26 is off to the usual start i.e. "OMG I'm behind already"
If Day 1 of All About That Place #AATP26 has made you think about Getting Started on a #OnePlaceStudy, check out what info and guidance our website (and membership of our Society) has to offer – including a PDF Guide to #OnePlaceStudies which you can download! #OnePlaceWednesday
Please excuse a shameless #OnePlaceWednesday plug for my talk about Dr John Cordy Keer, Medical Officer of Health for the Plomesgate District which covered my #OnePlaceStudy of #Sudbourne. It goes live at 8am tomorrow. If the role sounds bureaucratic & boring, think again…
What a dummy I am - got engrossed in something & forgot the watch party 🤦🏻♀️ So I watched it as soon as I remembered, & very good it was too - especially for anyone in the USA who is thinking of starting a #OnePlaceStudy. Here’s a link to it

How's your first day of All About That Place ( #AATP26) going? We've been watching quite a few talks today.

Steve’s post earlier is very timely. At 17:00 I’m attending an #AATP watch party for the talk ‘Thinking Small: Micro-Communities Make Great #OnePlaceStudies’. I’ve never attended a watch party before!
#AATP is underway! @helenshields.bsky.social was the opening speaker, prompting us to reflect on our genealogy journey. Don’t forget to download Helen’s handout!
