Ann Arbor City Council- #a2council - read this and act.
At least approve the resolution against military aid to Israel-- the Genocide State.
See today's news article in the Michigan Daily --
U-M studenrs say: "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!"

I JUST SAW A WAYMO IN ANN ARBOR. A human was driving it, but still. #a2council

It took me *years* and dozens of reports simply to get one address on Hill to stop blocking the lane with carts. Unless it involves minimal effort (e.g. a toothless warning letter sent to a car owner) nothing gets done. A2FixIt is a joke. #A2Council

Is there an effective way to report curb carrots in the bike lanes in Ann Arbor? See Click Fix apparently has nobody paying attention. #A2Council

"From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!"
Michigan students demonstrate against genocide and for the Palestinian people on campus today.
Time for Ann Arbor City Council - #a2council - to approve the resolution against military aid to Israel, the Genocide State.

Yes, I know #AnnArbor is not New York City but.... #a2council... bsky.app/profile/samd...

The anger that's slopping over into local #a2council politics from national politics is as ridiculous as it is stupid. At least one candidate in our primary did his best to make sure that would happen (and that he'd benefit from it).

We'll soon see how that translates to actual governance.

A hint:

To the current Ann Arbor City Council, #a2council, as of October 2026:
You've had years to say "no" to arming Israel, the Genocide State.
Instead you stonewalled the resolution against military aid to Israel.
So now you share responsibility for this genocide:

I spoke up for the resolution against military aid to Israel -- at the Ann Arbor City Council, #a2council, October 5, 2026.
Look how that City Council shuns any resolution aimed at protecting Palestinian life, year after bloody year.
Icewater runs in their veins.

Egregious disinfo on Prop E last night. Council acts scared that Prop E 'upends' our govt. Attorney General disagrees: "[this initiative petition] does not appear to change 'in the form of government' nor does it appear to conflict with other Charter provisions." #a2council #annarbor #publicpower

The number of people at #A2Council who said that this is a “lame-duck” council shows how little attention people actually pay to our local administrative structures.

Another reason why #a2council is awesome: Not a lot of places where you can learn new (and useful!) terms for fallacies on social media.

The alternative here is to notice that we're all living this city w/ a significant degree of intimacy, & that we could choose to literally sit down together, discuss issues of concern in good faith w/ each other, & then collaboratively work toward universally beneficial compromises.

See Dr. Mozhgan Savabieasfahani confront a City Council and Mayor that have shunned any Palestinian human rights resolution for decades.
Ann Arbor City Council ( #a2council ) then votes to protect... rodents. To protect rodents and small animals from cruel animal traps.

Shameful how Ann Arbor City Council, #a2council, values mice and rats more highly than actual Palestinian life.
Especially since Palestine is suffering a genocide at the hands of Israel, the Genocide State. youtube.com/shorts/0gWKh...

Why does Ann Arbor for Public Power feel the need to lie? They could have said how many #a2council public commenters they got (an impressive amount!) without lying.
