On 9/11, let us not forget how the Canadians reacted. There was Operation Yellow Ribbon, where 33,000 Americans in 224 planes landed at 17 airports across Canada. At Canadian Forces Base Gander in Newfoundland, 38 planes with 6,600 people were taken in.
