Hey everyone, thought I'd share some workflows in blender. This one is about how to make ornaments around columns fairly easily and with good proportions!

First start with curves, and make your shape on a 2D plane. Use some extrusion and ALT + S to have different widths at each curve point.

Add an array for how many of these you'll want.

Add a Simple Deform modifier set on bend 360 degrees. The perimeter of the column and the width of your shape should be equal (it accounts for the array as well)
