Top line is the old versions and the bottom one is the new.

To define the volume, I carved out the light areas from the shadow. Then, using a Linear Dodge layer, I subtracted the shadow mask from the silhouette to isolate potential light zones. Instead of flooding them with light, I placed sharp specular highlights. (2/2) #2dartist
