A new report on #23andme about a #prostatecancer related gene, apparently I don't have it, though it was only testing for one variant, but that's good.

Today's @science.org cover: a rare inherited variant that raises #lungcancer odds 25x, ~60x in people who never smoked.

#23andMe + @danafarber.bsky.social found 641 carriers in 10M+ participants and traced it to an 1800s founder event in Southern Appalachia.
