What if #2030Census questionaire is still available to everyone, as Constitution A14 requires - BUT a citizenship Q? is added? This introduces discouragement (= bias) to enumeration process. Researchers at @shorensteinctr.bsky.social analyzed this in 2018! shorensteincenter.org/resource/est...

Trump's new #census rule removes race and ethnicity from the count and drops millions of legal residents from it. You can't challenge what you don't measure. That's the plan. I'm calling it The Blindfold.

The recent proposed changes to the #2030Census could have far-reaching consequences for Native communities.

Removing questions about race and ethnicity could make it harder to understand where Native people live, identify inequities, enforce civil rights protections, and plan essential services.

Thinking about this today bc several emails received today compelled me to look up the WhiteHouse's proposals for #2030Census. It’s a real dumpster fire.
I’m not sure what’s the worst part. (2/4)

6. The administration's #2030Census proposal comes months before it is supposed to send a report by April 1, 2027, on the proposed question topics for the 2030 census to Congress, which, again, has final authority over the count under the Constitution

@datageekb.bsky.socialSep 9, 2026, 1:53 PM

Told y'all yesterday that with meeting requests to discuss the proposal mysteriously canceled, we'd see the proposed #2030Census changes soon. Turns out it was less than 24 hours.
