I watched THE SOCIAL RECKONING! I liked it more than a little and less than a lot. I think it's made for an older generation that makes up the primary user base of Facebook. For that audience, I think it is effective.

@keithlovesmovies.bsky.socialRenny Harlin and Samuel L. Jackson reteam for The Beast, a high-concept 90s throwback action thriller that delivers solid B-movie entertainment.

I watched MOTHER MARY which puts me one film away from completing the 2026 Anne Hathaway Septology. The first half of this movie had me entranced, but then it takes a turn that launched me hard out of the film. Looks great though!

I finally got around to seeing GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON'T DIE! I love a time travel story, and this movie is fun and weird from start to finish. I think it needed more structure and discipline, but the message is good, and Sam Rockwell rocks!

I watched DIGGER! The frame that the story uses really took me out, but I did find moments of this to be really well done. I also liked Cruise's performance. I think the conceit will frustrate most viewers.
@geeksspeaklouder.bsky.socialThe #2026summermovie season is officially in the books so @jagged2319.bsky.social and @mlhilty2452.bsky.social bring back Nash and Jack to revel in our correct picks, and talk about our horribly wrong ones

I watched PRIMETIME, the new film about To Catch a Predator. It's a great performance from Pattinson, and Merritt Wever is also superb. I would have liked the film to have a little stronger positionality, but it is certainly thought provoking and insightful.

I went to see HOPE. I adored it. Some of the most fun I've had at a movie theater in ages. Funny and action-packed with twists around every corner. This is one that I'll repeat view several times. Just incredible work.

I watched MAYDAY on the request of a coworker who hated it :D I didn't hate it! There's lots of fun action and some clever cinematography. There are also some cute moments throughout. But it's also not really a good movie. Just fun!

Ethan and I went to see THE DOG STARS. Ethan has been looking forward to it for a while, and it was a fun one to watch. It's a little slow and lyrical, with only brief moments of action. Elordi is solid, but all the characters are underwritten.
@dominion-of-fear.bsky.socialThought it was going to be like any other shark & human bait movie, but this wasn’t actually bad. It’s a fun one.
