#WormWednesday Terebellides? They all look the same don't they, all 94 species? Not if you look closely, or if you use molecules. Nice photos of two new species from the White Sea. Grosse et al.

#WormWednesday traditionally referred to as 'Filograna avita', this calcareous worm commonly encrusted shells of inoceramid #bivalve molluscs on the chalk seafloor during the early Turonian (~94 million years ago). This association is found throughout southern 🇬🇧 and northern 🇫🇷 at the same horizon.

This iteration of #WormWednesday is meta-worming day. At weekend I released lil BioRSS fork with some extra features at my server. Because my server is tiny I reduced intake for worm taxa only + some worm friends. Grab latest papers for your RSS reader or email client on bioosm.brmlab.cz/wormrss

I'd to detach a Glossiphonia complanata leech from the scissors before getting out. Plenty of them & their egg capsules under rocks, along with Erpobdella octoculata & big green Duck Leech (Theromyzon tessulatum). Maybe the long thin ones are Biocular Leech (Helobdella stagnalis). #WormWednesday
