Anfang August geschah etwas Ungewöhnliches: Mitten im antarktischen Winter, als die #Meereisdecke eigentlich wachsen sollte, ging in der #Amundsensee eine große zusammenhängende Meereisfläche verloren. Genau dort liegen die Küstenbereiche vor Thwaites und #PineIsland
