People with lived experience have valuable expertise. Their voices should not only be heard - they should help shape the services, policies, and decisions that affect their lives.

It also raises important questions around consent, as it can affect someone’s ability to think, communicate and withdraw consent.

It can be found in sexist jokes, victim-blaming, harassment, and attitudes that excuse sexual violence.
We can all challenge these behaviours and help create a culture of consent, respect, and support for survivors.
