So far I've found in the wild just:

Abe Vigoda is in this age 28 but playing an old man... which ironically is what he'll be remembered for in "The Godfather" and "Barney Miller". It's his second TV appearance but his first on #Suspense two months earlier doesn't exist.

Having the story expaneded so hugely must've been OK'ed from Dashiell Hammett who was present. So it's a different movie-like script now compared the taut edgy thriller of the Radio ep and original story. Yet Bill's reveal in longshot early in Act III was bad TV writing.

The blonde criminal is played by Wynne Gibson. She was a lesbian and her partner was Beverly Roberts also a 1930s movie actress but 16 years her junior.

Liked a lot of ex-movie actresses she tried TV in the 1950s so may might pop up again. Ditto Beverly Roberts.

I had to laugh that Peggy French who has just 11 items, all TV, on her IMDB between 1949-54 and I've somehow seen 4 of them!

She's not a great actress TBF.

The elephant in the room is that this story was done twice on Radio by #Suspense, ep #22 (22-Dec-42) & ep #144 (07-Jun-45). Both were masterpieces which everyone watching would remember.
This ep is very different as it has been tweaked considerably to fit the 1 hour slot.

The prefilmed scenes are always intriguing. As this was broadcast live from New York the clips are often from New York so we get 1949 footage of New York. This was always the great in #ManAgainstCrime but here in earlier live eps you only get a few seconds of footage!

Actually I stand corrected in that his script was first made for TV ep #1.01 (07-Nov-48). So that placeholder pic on IMDB is surely of Margaret Sullivan and Dean Jagger in the very fist ep and not Marsha Hunt and John Rodney this ep.

The lead is Marsha Hunt who lived till 2022, ie 73 years later age 104!!!!

But she's not a member of my 100 Club as I didn't see her in any 1940/50s TV before she died.

She was a movie actress in the 1930s & 1940s. Her last TV role #StarTrekTNG TV ep #1.15 (06-Feb-88).

The woman in the ad selling the ovens is Betty Furness. She became BIG in industry and has two Hollywood Walk of Fame stars.
President Lydon B Johnson appointed her Special Assistant for Consumer Affairs.
She is Liza Snyder's grandmother.

My 100 Club now includes women who I've seen on TV up to 1954.
