Early morning provides opportunities for photographs with a much different feel than a bright sunny afternoon. The signs at the Higginsville Police Station were still on and there was a warm glow from inside the donut shop.

Small town movie theaters come in all sizes and shapes. The Davis Theater in Higginsville, Missouri is the first I've seen with a long marquee board that list not only the movie titles, but all the show times as well.

This is the Hotel Bothwell hotel in Sedalia, Missouri. This seven-story, Classical Revival style building was constructed in 1927 and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

This three-story building was the original Montgomery Wards building in Sedalia. Built of stone it has multiple panels with graphics cut into the story, some of which are accent with some rusty-brown paint.

Beautiful stonework surrounds the entrance and windows of this multi-story brick building. The pair of wood doors with large windows sits under a blue canopy.
