I asked some friends of mine to do a few lines of my poem ‘Ode To Square Chapel’ in support of my quest to help #SaveSquareChapelArts in Halifax.
Without hesitation… they all chipped in. 🙌
It’s what friends are for.
Please re-post if you enjoy! x

In his ongoing quest to help #SaveSquareChapelArts in Halifax, my buddy @reecedinsdale.bsky.social has written a short poem.

Do follow & support him in his quest to save this fantastic Theatre & centre for the Arts.

Up early as I’m on BBC Radio Leeds at 7.30 this morning talking to Colson Smith about my efforts to help #SaveSquareChapelArts Halifax… if any of you are up and interested. 🙏🏻
Might be a bit of Corrie chat, too! 🤷‍♂️

👏👏👏
Producing well crafted verse with an important message - Simon Armitage will have to look to his laurels. (A shocking pun, I'll get my coat.)

All the best for #SaveSquareChapelArts Mr D.

Just in case anyone is unable to access it, here's how you can help #SaveSquareChapelArts

I had lunch with a friend yesterday, a former music teacher, violinist from Halifax who’s been retired for fifteen years.

He used to play concerts at Square Chapel, loved every minute he played & said he would love to play there again.

We must #SaveSquareChapelArts for the good people of Halifax.
