@demarqo.comRaheem Morris' defense ranks third in EPA/play allowed on second down, then 23rd on third. Opponents are 29-for-71 there. I want manageable third downs all night because this defense is much less efficient there (nflverse/NFL).

@demarqo.comHot take: Washington should feed Stefon Diggs underneath against San Francisco. He leads the team with three receiving TDs, while the 49ers rank eighth in pass defense. Those early targets can keep Jayden Daniels on schedule (Commanders).

@demarqo.comSan Francisco ranks 12th in EPA/play on first down and first on second down. Klay Kubiak's offense is 27-for-52 on third down, the NFL's best rate. I want the pressure plan starting early, before Kubiak reaches his best down.

@greggateley.bsky.socialThe fumble recovery and the botched clock management was like…the Gibbs era magic and the Snyder era cloud are wrestling for control. We’ve had quite a few sequences of that recently and it appears the exorcism isn’t compete yet.
@demarqo.comThrough Week 5, Washington is fifth in rushing yards with 698 and tied for third with six runs of 20-plus yards (NFL). I trust the ground game more than any other part of this offense right now.

@slessans.bsky.socialTrump has been replaced by Dan Quinn as dumbest human here in DC, at least according to talk radio.
@slessans.bsky.socialSeems like the Commies are going to stick with stupid, at least for the remainder of the season.

@natsjunkie.bsky.socialA lot of 'Ifs' but if Laremy Tunsil hadn't gotten hurt and they had been able to add Tyler Linderbaum at Center, this offensive line would have been damn good. #RaiseHail
@demarqo.comWashington's passing problem starts with accuracy. Through Week 5, one interception is tied for fourth-fewest, while the 58.6% completion rate ranks 30th (NFL). The easy misses are dragging the whole unit down.

@slessans.bsky.socialI don’t blame JD5 for the issues yesterday. It’s the coaches' job, specifically Blough and Quinn, to be yelling into the mic to spike the ball. If you’re in a hurry-up, scream Sunday and tell him to spike the damn ball.
@demarqo.comWashington finished with 9 penalties for 69 yards. On one drive, pre-snap flags backed the offense from the Giants' 9 to the 19 before a field goal.
