At 10:33 a.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021, BNSF Railway 7058 led an eastbound 4+0 double-stack train past a stopped EB intermodal train, lead by BNSF 3959, on the BNSF Needles Subdivision at MP 691, East of Ludlow, CA near the National Trails Highway, Historic Route 66 crossing. BNSF 7058 is a GE ES44C4. According to good sources it was built in 2012, builders number 61204.

Southern Pacific (SP) 1780 was the last SP ALCo S-2 to work in Oakland, CA. SP 1780 was in Homestead Yard, West Oakland, CA circa 1972.

Southern Pacific (SP) 1780 was the last SP ALCo S-2 to work in Oakland, CA. SP 1780 was in Homestead Yard, West Oakland, CA date not recorded, likely 1972. SP 1780 was an ALCo S-2. Reportedly it was built in 1950, builders number 77047, as SP 1439, SP Class DS-105. In 1965 it was renumbered to SP 1780, SP Class AS410-3. The disposition of this locomotive is: sold 1973 and scrapped in 1974. Analog Image, Yashica Mat 124G Medium Format TLR Camera, Ektachrome Professional E3 (120) transparency cropped to 35mm equivalent.

SP 7467 was an EMD SD45 (SD45R) SP Class EF636R-2. Reportedly: it was built by in 1967 as SP 8913, SP Class EF636-2, builder number 32827. It was upgraded in 1983 becoming SP 7467. SP 7467 was retired in 1999. It was rebuilt to an SD40M-2, becoming CEFX 3120. This is at the Tri-City Society of Model Engineers (TCSME) model railroad club in the historic Niles depot in Fremont, CA. My C-415 models are both English (Bowser) models. The 4445 is my son's BLI model. The real SP 2400 was an ALCo C-415, SP Class AS415-1. Reportedly: it was built in 1966 builder's number 3458-1.
