02 The #PreCOP in Fiji set the tone.

About 4,000 people from 100+ countries met. No decisions were taken, but small island states raised their concerns. US$5bn of the US$16bn+ committed to Pacific countries since 2015 is still undisbursed.

At Pre-COP31 in Fiji, the LDC Group called for keeping 1.5°C within reach, faster access to grant-based climate finance and stronger adaptation, standing in solidarity with Pacific communities ahead of COP31. #LDCGroup #United4ClimateAction #PreCOP

This week at #PreCOP we joined partners and allies in calling for just and equitable climate finance that works for communities, and demanding that the biggest polluters pay their fair share 💚

" #PreCop" was a "colossal flop", a colossal waste of $150 or so million, that should've been invested in for example, as I've said many times, paying out #Amcor 's timber contract in #Victoria to "finally" have GREAT FOREST NATIONAL PARK enacted.
