Have you “come clean” on how you’re going to meet all your election promises, not close dozens of community centres bc of deferred maintenance, fix transit, start phase 3 of LRT and do all this while keeping taxes to less than 2.5%?

@jleiper.bsky.social for mayor, for #OurBestOttawa

Same. I pay house taxes and over $35k a year in property taxes for our leased office space. I want (a) better use of my tax $ to get better (less waste etc) and (b) pay the taxes it takes to be a capital G7 city, to be #OurBestOttawa

I know @jleiper.bsky.social gets it.

The @ncc-ccn.gc.ca to do the heavy lifting of making #OurBestOttawa; there’s so much more we could do, at a muni level, to create quality of life. bit.ly/3PAALXo

This is great and I love it.

What I’d love more is if we’d focus on making great public art without needing it to be part of a P3 project. There’s no reason we can’t commission great public art (and functional pieces like these benches) as a regular matter of course.

Let’s make #OurBestOttawa

Bc @jleiper.bsky.social has been at the table fighting for better investment, better approaches, better clarity, better results. He’s seen, for 12y how the city wastes money, bogs down accountability and kills the innovation we need to be #OurBestOttawa

We create value by investing, using fair contracts, building a shared vision, with the potential to dream for better so that as our city grows we can revisit that dream idea and test waters to see if and when it might work. Dream of #OurBestOttawa @jleiper.bsky.social

Imagine a #BetterByWard where business thrives bc it’s friendly, accessible, welcoming. Where more people pass by a store or cafe on their way home to family sized apts, and connector to the city thru a functional reliable transit system. Imagine #OurBestOttawa

@jleiper.bsky.social for mayor

Ive written extensively on how to harness the talent and will to make #OurBestOttawa but it largely falls on deaf ears; we lack leadership willing to make the effort. A minority of council sees this but is outvoted on promises of low taxes and #BreadAndCircuses that make our city worse. 2/
