This webcam updates every 30 seconds to show a still image of live conditions at the park. From the amphitheater, you can see the south face of Devils Tower. You can also see the Prairie Dog Town pullouts along the park road from here.

Smithwick Channel Webcam, Isle Royale National Park

Smithwick Channel is a small break in Isle Royale's barrier islands that allows safe passage from Lake Superior into Rock Harbor Channel. Raspberry Island can be seen to the left of the view, and Smithwick Island is to the right. This passage is used by many, but perhaps most frequently by the ISLE ROYALE QUEEN IV passenger ferry out of Copper Harbor, MI to travel to and from Rock Harbor. The webcam is solar powered and communicates multiple times per day, year-round, when power and communications infrastructure allows.

Steel Information Center, Crater Lake National Park

The Steel Information Center at Park Headquarters (elevation 6,450 feet) is open daily except December 25th. The current hours are 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This view is useful in showing the amount of snow currently on the ground in the park. It can be 10 to 15 feet deep in the late winter and early spring. Image updates every 5 to 7 minutes.

This is the view *looking north from the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center at Lassen Volcanic National Park. The peak to the left is Mt. Diller and Pilot Pinnacle sits to its right. On cool days, it is possible to see steam rising from the Sulphur Works hydrothermal area. *Alert - A webcam image is unavailable during a transfer process. NPS is retiring the FTP protocol for transferring webcam images and adopting the more secure SFTP protocol. We appreciate your patience during the migration.

Many Glacier is often referred to as the Heart of the Park. This spectacular view is very similar to the Two Medicine Valley in that there is a dominant peak, in this case Grinnell Point, separating two valleys. To the right is the Swiftcurrent Valley and just up and over the wall in the background is Granite Park. To the left is the valley that leads up to Grinnell Glacier, one of the most popular trails in the park. The Many Glacier Hotel sits at the edge of Swiftcurrent Lake and is an outstanding example of the type of architecture that was so common in western national parks in early 1900. A walk through its soaring lobby is a must see when you visit Many Glacier.

This image is from a research camera positioned on the north rim of Mokuʻāweoweo, the summit caldera of Mauna Loa volcano by the USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory. If you look carefully around early morning or late evening, you may see a few thermal areas emitting steam. The webcams are operational 24/7 and faithfully record the dark of night if there are no sources of incandescence or other lights. Thermal webcams record heat rather than light and get better views through volcanic gas. At times, clouds and rain obscure visibility. The cameras are subject to sporadic breakdown, and may not be repaired immediately. Some cameras are observing an area that is off-limits to the general public because of significant volcanic hazards.
