Lioconcha hieroglyphica, a clam that seems to be inscribed with runes, was one of my inspirations for the Miscamish writing system of Noss. The first sample here is written with a fountain pen, and the second is using a TTF font I developed.

An alt with just a towel covering twelve details, to show the fur transitions. I had to paint the pink skin first, then recolor the dark skin areas, then paint the fur on top based on the skin color underneath.

Having finished the 4th book of the #NossSaga by @joabaldwin.com has me wanting more. Not only because the story is a narrative gem, but because of having my ideas subverted in ways that makes me even more intrigued.

The big points being the moon and that eccentric scholar in the last chapter.

I cheated when making the portrait for this lovely wombat. I used another illustration I had done before, and just changed her arms (gave her a salad) and redid some of the line work to match the style of the other portraits.
