Six Merveille du Jours this morning - likely a highest count ever for us here - in our pleasing tally of 133/38. The variation is really quite something, here's three different shades of green on some of the morning Mervs. What a magnificent moth!

Not many micros at large last night but here's a Monopis crocicapitella, which is a much nicer name than it's common English name, the Pale-backed Detritus Moth. Regular here and always smart.

This migrant macro remains rare in the county, new to Norfolk in 2021. The superb @norfolkmoths.bsky.social map below shows just how few record there have been since in the following 5 years. Chuffed with this, been on the radar a while now.

"And it's Radford!" - I've wanted to this about this 1st for TG04 for ages 🙂! Last night, this Radford's Flame Shoulder sat on the back door, willing itself to be seen. Duly potted, with a slightly shaky hand, & enjoyed greatly this morning.
