Kiedy widzisz go lecącego z żołędziem, bardzo możliwe, że obserwujesz proces zoochorii, czyli rozsiewania drzew przez zwierzęta. Gawrony (Corvus frugilegus znaczy krukowaty zbierający owoce i nasiona) jak sójki, zakopują żołędzie w ziemi, na odległość do 4 km od dębu.
