Jeez, I was not expecting that last scene with Andre about to be eaten by the spider. 😬

@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyOh snap! The little squeaky, "Help me!" of the fly stuck in the web. 😬
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyThe fly/Andre went out like the first #Terminator. 🤔
@kcarr2015.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gyTell ya what: that mask with the fly mouth probus looks pretty sick for late 50s. 👍
Fun fact: according to IMDB, this was the highlight of Patricia Owens' career (she's the actor who played Helene) https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0654433/
@nev.status.nevillepark.ca.ap.brid.gy"But for one instant he was careless."
That was honestly quite good! Patricia Owens's performance (as Helene) sells it. And of course Vincent Price is never unwelcome.
Okay time to cuddle the cat now, g'night all! Thanks @ryan for the stream!
That was a surprisingly good movie! Vincent Price is spoiling us 😂
Thanks as always @ryan for hosting and everybody for posting! See you next week!
@paco.infosec.exchange.ap.brid.gyI don't know why he merged with a fly.
Perhaps he'll die.
@nev.status.nevillepark.ca.ap.brid.gyHold the fuck up, that's… _half_ of an _Argiope_ stabilimentum
why does an orbweaver have a…strangely accurate wolf spider eye arrangement???
hey, i feel sorry for the guy but why did the spider have to die???
oh that's a much more disturbing fly-human hybrid
@nev.status.nevillepark.ca.ap.brid.gythat's a terrible fake spider but ok
Apparently it took them forever to do the scene with the teeny "help meee!" because they kept cracking up
Chekov's "it was just a fly"
You'd think the forensics team would have noticed that the squashed body was part fly
@paco.infosec.exchange.ap.brid.gyOh yeah, vincent price.
@nev.status.nevillepark.ca.ap.brid.gythe slowness of the press is so much more effective than just shooting with a gun (which IIRC is the case in Cronenberg's _Fly_)
wow respect Helene
wait isn't that his fly hand hanging out on the side
@nev.status.nevillepark.ca.ap.brid.gywelcome back to ze hydraulic press channel
@fiend-unpleasant.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy"I don't care that you are a fly. You should have seen the guys I fucked in college" she said, remembering that one gruesome night.
@paco.infosec.exchange.ap.brid.gyThis is, uh, attached to their HOUSE?
