On the fifteenth day of #Mörktober, Fiber (for Pirate Borg).
Text by me, art by @lostarot.bsky.social

#pirateborg #mörkborg #TTRPG #digitalart #illustration

An illustration of coconut, its fiber unraveling, and a finger reaching out of it while an eye peaks out of a crack in the coconut. The text reads, "Coconut Ghost
Sometimes used as a spy, other times as a guard, this coconut has been forcibly imbued with a spirit by a necromancer. After years of use the coconut vessel has begun to fray and weather.
HP 6 Morale Special Coconut Shell -d2
Head Bash d4
Fragile Vessel When defending against, if a natural 20 is rolled, the coconut breaks. The Coconut Ghost then flees back to its creator, gaining the Ethereal trait (DR 14 to attack and defend)."

#mörktober the fifteenth, fiber.
I made some changes. Wanted the dungeon crawl section to feel separate from the flux crawl, plus this space is supposed to feel a bit more alien. Think all this white reads better on the black than the silver, too.

Image is the same as the previous post in all but the colours. The page background is now a grubby black to better show the white mycelium and fungal imagery.

The text reads the same.

#Mörktober the fifteenth, fibre.

(I'm still not sure on this one but won't linger whilst the event is on)

Monochromatic image, mostly white imagery of a mushroom with tendrils in the page centre, with mycelial roots reaching out to creep up the 'walls' of the pages border.
The text reads:
The Hyphal Pit

They tore open the ground to find her. The shovels blades cutting wounds that would never heal. Her blood soaked into the soil. The mud shone with it. It drove them wild with a desire they had never before known.
This place is a wound.
The walls ripple and pulse as long, thin, pale branching fibres grow out and over the rock and soil. They reach inside hollows within the walls from which tired, whimpered pleas and wailing can be heard.
A mushroom the size of a troll sprouts from the mycelium, all tendrils and spores. Usually passive, it protects this place from those that would cause further harm.
In its upper reaches, this place—this wound—lays open to a raging silver sky, pregnant with rain. Climbing the walls will never bring you closer to touching the sky beyond.
The Oubliettes
Cramped deep within each cavity withered, ever-suffering forms of weepers bite and scratch at one another where they are rooted in place. Who they once were they no longer know. All they know now is regret.
If a weeper is pulled free from their prison, they die and within their oubliette a new body grows for them like a rapidly budding flower of viscera; their grief must never be permitted to end.
Pale Warden
HP 30 MORALE 8, see special
THICK SKIN -d2
TENDRILS d6, attacking twice
SPECIAL hard to miss; attacks are DR10. If both tendrils hit, target is stuffed into an oubliette, taking d4 damage per round until death or escape (Strength DR14). Withers and becomes dormant if it loses morale and 2d4 frail mockeries rise from the ground.

MÖRKTOBER 15 - FIBER #mörkborg #mörktober #fiber #ttrpg #ttrpgart

A distorted tapestry hangs at an angle, and threads dance around it. There is a block of inset type, the headline reads: "Thread of Lies". The copy below states: "If you acquire a thread from one of the tapestries of the Mad Weaver Reslan, and wrap it around your tongue you will find yourself an excellent liar. You gain a +2 on any contests of deception, fraud or general bullshittery.
A warning, past adventurers who have done this have also experienced the thread violently contracting, severing their tongue. The exact trigger for this event is unknown."

Day 15: Fiber

You awaken. A burlap sack has been pulled over your head, and you can feel the bite of coarse rope cutting into the flesh of your ankles and wrists.

What happened? How did you get into this situation?

What are you going to do to get yourself out of it?

#MÖRKTOBER Day 15 - Fibre

The fruit of the banshee tree is bitter, stringy, and generally tastes like sh*t. But it's great at clearing out anything in your guts that's nasty. If you can keep it down.
*Test TOU DR12, or throw it all back up.
*If you can keep it down, it clears any negative conditions caused by something you ate. But you can't do anything, or go anywhere for D6 hours, due to the sh*its.

Self written fantasy story and TTRPG quest about finding silk weaver, a resilient fiber from a massive silk wyrm, and the creation of an armor made of that silk.

Drawing of a fantasy armor, that has wooden plates on the shoulders and around the chest + a silk looking wrapping underneath and on its arms.

Day 15 of #MÖRKTOBER with "Fiber"! Crunching into a starchy tuber gives me the sturdiness I require for a day filled with dangers! O' the snap of vegetation betwixt my fang and my moaning gullet receiving the subterranean treat, masterfully masticated into a mouthwatering morsel!

No 43 #TroikaRPG inspired scribbles (& "Relic" for #MÖRKTOBER). What the Undine gaurd in their pool above the falls is the Legendary Spear of Density, the God of the Giants own spear. Forged from metals plucked from an accretion disc of a black hole, so heavy it will pierce any city wall or gate.

Two people (man & woman) standing in dark waters, hold an enormous glowing spear over their heads. Both use all their strength to raise the spear out of the water. The blade of the spear is engraved with the symbol for Rho. The label reads "The Spear of Density". Inspired by current Troika RPG and the prompt "Relic" for 2026 #MÖRKTOBER.
