Just back from RSPB Leighton Moss, where I finally saw some of these little guys. It's a male bearded reedling, and this is the first half-decent shot that came up, as I wade through 1,837 photos taken this morning. There may be more to come (hopefully).

Rufous-chested Flycatcher (Fucedula dumetoria) - small rufous bird perched on a branch with black head facing left and white supercilium

Ornate Pitta (Pitta concinna) - colourful, blackbird-size bird facing towards the camera with tilted head , looking curious. Black bill and head with buff crests , green wing with a shiny blue bar on primary coverts, orange buffish collar and underparts, bright red legs and vent. Blurred background of leaf litter.

Orange-footed Megapode (Mefapodius reinwardt) - chicken size dark green bird foraging in leaf litter with a backward pointed crest on the head and distinguishable orange legs. Photo a bit blurred, as taken through a telescope with foreground obstacles.

Wallacean Drongo ssp. Lombok Spangled Drongo (Dicrurus densus vicinus) - classic drongo shaped black bird with shiny dark metallic green wings, red eye and grey bill, facing left perched on a branch in the middle of intricate web of branches and foliage.

I saw my #lifer Yellow-throated Vireo, thanks to the reconnaissance work of @dptbirder. Alas, no photodocumentary evidence.
My consolation was an great look at a second lifer vireo, the placid and dignified W Warbling Vireo, looking cute in the subtlety of the SoCal fall. #birds

New #lifer today on morning walk: what I think was a wattled lapwing. Seemed to be injured and I wanted to pick it up to help it; my sister said no. :( 🪶
