I may…. have a cuttings obsession. 🤔 this is multiplied across all the gardens i work in. And the ones with greenhouses ? 😱 #Bloomscrolling #GardensHour
The many colours of Virginia Creeper. #Bloomscrolling #GardensHour
I rescued this from a client’s old house plant and shoved it in her porch. Now this rosette is almost 30cm across. 😱 #Bloomscrolling #GardensHour
Thanks all for another busy #GardensHour!
So much colour around, loving seeing all the late blooms this year that you’re enjoying!
See you all, same time, next week! 👋
Hello #GardensHour! Been a busy week, still setting up the #allotment - all but one raised bed now built - and on to the fun stuff of planning fruit bushes.
Bit behind on my bulbs for indoors and pots, but hoping to catch up tomorrow.
Anyone know anything about lingonberries?
Thanks! #GardensHour
A new Aster providing some late colour in the garden #GardensHour 🌱
Only ten minutes left #GardensHour
I’ve got outdoor toms ripening now, so I’d leave them as long as possible. Removing any flowers (which are now too late), any leaves shading the fruit & the growth point off the main stem should focus energy into ripening what’s there now rather than putting effort into more fruit #GardensHour
#GardensHour First attempt at home grown pickled zingiber mioga. Looks very pretty, I wonder if it will taste as good as it looks.
After a slow start, the white Cosmos & red Dahlia are finally go! #GardensHour 🌱
I actually just found a dahlia tuber I clearly forgot to plant back in spring , still feels quite solid is there any chance of it still being viable next year? #GardensHour
The garden is having one last final florrah this autumn, making up for a crispy summer #GardensHour 🌱
#GardensHour I’ve only bought a few bulbs so far this Fall and will probably put them in planters once it gets a bit cooler. I planted lots in the garden beds last year so hopefully they’ll grow well again this Spring.
I think a lot of cosmos got fried this summer, mine did anyway, but if you give it a good feed and prune out any manky bits it should flower for a while yet #GardensHour
A friend asked me to ask you about her tomatoes… will they ripen now, if not already? Pick them or leave them? #GardensHour
They’re both lovely! And still flowering - that’s fantastic! #GardensHour
I usually plant all my bulbs in November (saves accidentally digging up all the daffs when planting the tulips). Last year I planted a bag of forgotten daffodil bulbs on Boxing Day when I discovered them in a draw - they were all fine! #GardensHour
Possibly… I’ve got a few redundant pots now. That’s not a bad shout! #GardensHour
