I think people should read this relatively new VN because the art style is so full of charm and heart and character and it makes me feel like Im holding a cup of hot chocolate on the patio but like, emotionally.
It's sweet, short, and the characters all endeared themselves to me immediately.

But, I'm afraid that simply won't be possible. Why? Because there's still so much to do and I just don't have the mental capacity or ability to finish it in a week. Additionally, I just want to enjoy October, since Halloween is my favorite time of year. I didn't really get to do that much last year because of IMG_1697's original build. So, I have made the heavy decision to delay IMG_1697: The 1.0 Update until further notice. Please know I do not make this decision lightly. As much as I want to take advantage of the Halloween season, I just don't have the mental fortitude to complete it in time. Therefore, I will be slowing down and working on the update at my own pace. It's not all bad though! My personal life is going well, and I'm actually pretty far along in this update. There's lots of things here that I'm really proud of, and I've hired an artist who's made some amazing new sprites! I'll be pausing development so I can focus on Novembird(!), but with any luck, it might still come out in 2026... I’ll keep teasing this update and talking about it until its eventual release. Rest assured, this update WILL happen and it WILL be amazing. I truly cannot wait to share it with you! But until then, I'll be going at my own pace. Again, I'm infinitely sorry for the last minute delay. I really wish I could release it in time for Halloween, but I also just want to enjoy the season. Thank you for understanding, and thank you endlessly for your support for this VN. IMG_1697 is truly special to me; I love this story so much, and I'm so happy that it has resonated with so many readers. But until then, stay spooky, my ravens. Thank you again. -RhettoeRaven
