Cathedrals tumble
cascades of #crumbs, of stone and wood
Shards of glass, stained by the past,
fall as hailstones mocking false repentance.
The spires fall with flags
flapping for the fools of coins
who's folly now descends
with crushing force.
Beneath, in woeful song
the meek lament their loss
as spiritual lyrics languish
and enlightenment grows dim.

Disturbed in this cinema of sleep
a ship of dreams is tossed
on waves destined for ruin
Familiar storms rage often
in hearts that dare to love
and moonlight weeps for what is lost
casting pale illumination
on the wreckage which lays strewn.

My poem titled Voiceless.

…

There was a time where I could speak.
A glimpse into the future,
was not enough for me to know,

it’d eventually say goodbye.

My voice was carried into the wind,
leaving no trace behind I ever had one.

Now I’m left standing still,
not a sound able to break through me,
grieving in front of an empty casket…

with my name written all over it.

The mob throbs electric
Pulsing into life, it breathes as one
Contortions of a human sea:
tides of change roll foamy white
lathering the shores of life.

A chorus of defiance defines the time.
Voices yearn like lightning
etched across #metallic skies;
skitters of hope, they scrape the horizon;
silver threads filled with promise,
banishing futility.

“All rise,” the bailiff calls.
The storm subsides to listen.
“The people’s court is now in session.”
