Down along the small lane to the shore, it was Raptor alley with Buzzards and Kestrels galore, high amongst the blue sky. Not sure which one I saw first frankly… #firstbirdofmyday

#FirstBirdOfMyDay: Dark, road, American robin. Back to the usual! 😊
#FirstBirdOfMyDay: a Blackbird, shouting loudly in alarm, jumped out of the bush as I opened the back door. Very mild morning here.
We have lots of crows around. But just one crawing in the rowan hedge. The berries haven't gone yet, the starling gang nearby clearly haven't remembered to crash by and gorg themselves. And the mistle thrush isn't guarding them. #FirstBirdofMyDay
#firstbirdofmyday here in Orono Maine: Bluejay in the lilac tree. Jim👋😊
Crow calling to me the minute I drew the blinds couldn’t wait to dip his bread #FirstBirdofmyDay
First bird of my day: jackdaws battling against the wind as the rain starts to fall on this very blustery October morning. #firstbirdofmyday
First bird of my day: a robin singing in the trees on a breezy, mild morning. #Firstbirdofmyday
First bird of my day. A cackling magpie on the roof against a grey sky that is struggling to bring any light to the day. ##FirstBirdOfMyDay
Grey, damp and very windy 💨💨💨 and nothing doing in our garden or in the street. I resorted to getting my binoculars and got distant views of a couple or corvids and a gull. I hope the wind dies down soon. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
First birds of my day: three skeins, totally 23 altogether, of Greylag Goose honking their way South across the end of the street which I was crossing.
Again wood pigeon almost camouflaged against a greying but sunlit sky #firstbirdofmyday
A flurry of feathers in the azaleas and salvias as the red wattlebird and a little raven fight for dominance on this beautiful spring morning. #firstbirdofmyday #whatsyours
First bird of my day: my crow. Honking. As usual. Wouldn’t have it any other way. Grey but warm outside. #firstbirdofmyday #whatsyours
No birds seen at all in the dark this morning, but once the backyard got a little lighter and I brought out sunflower seeds, the northern cardinals appeared for #FirstBirdOfMyDay.
#firstbirdofmyday in Orono Maine: American goldfinch at the feeder. Jim👋😊
The robin chipping again, I heard sparrows in the distance yesterday but not seen fir weeks at home. Other water now in puddles etc maybe.

First bird of my day: a jay foraging at the base of a hedgerow on a calm, mild morning. #Firstbirdofmyday
#FirstBirdOfMyDay: Gulls on the recently sown field at the end of the drive. Hopping from one patch to another - a couple of flaps & land again. A little squabbling but generally a harmonious scene.
Exploding from a tree a wood pigeon angles its way across the park #firstbirdofmyday
