#Fauxcarta was about to fill up my 2 tb disk with #wikipedia's giant cache. Also it was duplicating items it really didn't need to. Trying to compact and deduplicate the cache materials into indexable #sqlite databases.

A terminal status message reads: “compacting source database: scanning pages; completed batches remain saved” followed by “compact database pages: 37677000 rows [1:04:33, 9081.04 rows/s]” with a progress cursor.

I feel like I'm getting closer to doing the "real" data pipeline run for #Fauxcarta that will have at least 60,000 articles/topics. Honestly surprised I made it this far.

Finally reached article generation/rewrite stage. #Fauxcarta project chugs along. As does my poor #GPU.

Terminal window running a FauxCarta pipeline from `~/Git/fauxcarta/pipeline`. Numerous Wikimedia Commons XML multistream archive files have finished verification at 100%, followed by completed stages for importing Commons media descriptions, article identities, page assessments, and article normalization. The current “generate articles” stage is at 1%, showing 14 of 1,000 batches completed after about 49 minutes, processing roughly 223 articles per second with zero failures.
