What do you need for successful winter growing? It depends on your particular growing area. For us, in addition to lots of plants, we need protection from the cold and wind, as well as some supplemental lighting.

One of the great things about heirloom pumpkin seeds is you can save the seeds and they grow the same as the pumpkin they came from. In this way, seeds travel all over the world to find new homes on new continents.

Are there any peanuts in this pumpkin? No! It’s just a nickname given because of the bumpy appearance. The Galeux d’Eysines is notable for its unique appearance that looks as if it’s covered by peanut shells.
