@ajfixer.bsky.socialJules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was the first science-fiction story I ever read. It led to a life-long love of the oceans and the denizens of the deeps. The character of Captain Nemo in particular fascinated me, and he remains one of my favorite anti-hero antagonists.

FASA’s BattleTech: The Succession Wars (1987) combined the groovy sci-fi mecha setting with classic strategic wargame gameplay. It was a fun “Big Picture” way to enjoy BattleTech!
