Leaellynasaura amicagraphica... or not???? according to some, the tail material can't be confidently assigned to the species. either way, something had a ludicrously long tail in early cretaceous australia for sure.

Day 13 of #paloemori2026 !!!! So. Many. Sauropods. I didn't really realize how many made it to this years list until I started drawing them. This vinegarroon is one of the few named species of this order from the entire Mesozoic era. It already looks quite modern in every details, and shares a lot of features with the current vinegarrons living in the Americas.

Size : 12-ish cm of body length
Time period : Early Cretaceous

Happy #FossilFriday! Specular #fossils of #Brachylophosaurus have been discovered in the #Cretaceous Judith River Formation of #Montana. This is a complete skull (#MOR794) and a section of skin impressions (#MOR1071 8-98-003) from this duck billed #dinosaur.
