JAMA Surgery RCT: Novel anti-adhesion system significantly reduced adhesions in open rectal resection. 118 adults (mean age 68) with rectal cancer participated. Control group had ~95% adhesions, experimental group (with SI-449) had ~40% (P<.001). Conducted in 53 hospitals in Japan.
