Finished this earlier this afternoon!
⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 stars!
Just as good as the first!
If you like #cozymysteries or #thursdaymurderclub this is a good series for you. Not as serious as Thursday, but just as clever.

Excellent cozy mystery for fall!!
This was a great start for a new series for me! Love Agatha for a good old who dun it.
It’s raining, in October…
The book fits the mood, as again, the horrors persist.
A book a day…….
when it’s possible?
Hell to the absol-lute-ly
Y.E.S.
Love when Brittany Pressley narrates a book- hoping the book is just as great as yesterday’s.
This book made me think of the really great quote from Neil Stephenson's "Snow Crash": "is it a virus, a drug, or a religion?"
Good question to ask when many people start seeing angels!
#Books2026 Star Trek Coda: book 2 The Ashes of Tomorrow. Building up to ending a series and wiping out beloved characters as it goes. This book focussed on DS9 characters so I find this is where the series really kicks in. I enjoy the apocalyptic feel where we don't know who will go next. 4/5
New day, new book, new shit to do.
#Books2026 Eleanor by Alice Loxton. Being a Northampton, I know more about Queen Eleanor of Castille than many others. This book filled in lots of gaps nicely and gave new insight into medieval life. The style is a bit "brisk head girl", but is readable. 3.5/5
Finished today, 36th book in 2026. Historical fiction about the “current wars” of the late 1800s and the battle for the electrification of America between Thomas Edison, George Westinghouse, and Nikola Tesla. Entertaining book. I enjoyed it.

Finished today, 35th book in 2026. It highlights/explores contradictions, errors, and changing theological views in the New Testament, showing how the NT books present conflicting perspectives on Jesus and core Christian beliefs, and how those evolved over time. Worthwhile.

All this "the baby this, the baby that" annoys me. It's been two days since you had sex; vision or no vision, Messiah or no Messiah, the fertilized egg hasn't even completed its way to the uterus 🙄
"Those Israelis have great tech. I'm thinking about converting. Do you think they'd let an AI be a Jew?"
Oh I'd LOVE to see THAT rabbinical debate!
(There is the circumcision thing though 🤔)
Finished today, 34th book in 2026. What an amazing gem of a book. The story of a blind French girl and a German boy whose lives briefly intersect in occupied France during World War II. Heart-breaking; emotional; bittersweet. I so wanted a different ending. Highly recommended.

"I'm a Catholic, Danny. You know we never read that thing," I said, pushing the Bible back at him."
😂😂😂
Exactly 4 weeks to go until Rivals' Folly, so it's time to meet Angel, the Folly's equivalent of a poison dart frog. Beautiful? Yes. Deadly? Even more so.
Rivals' Folly launches in one month 🎉
Meet Sam. They/them. Raven lieutenant and diplomat. Pointy-toothed menace. Fun enough to give their own after-novel bonus story.
Rivals' Folly launches in one month 🥳, so...
Meet Hannah. She is territorial, smug, undisciplined in ways she has mistaken for instinct, and frequently insubordinate even when she is technically correct.
Finished today, 33rd book in 2026. It traces how concepts of heaven and hell evolved from ancient Middle East and Greco-Roman traditions into early Christian theology, showing that neither Jesus, Paul, nor the Old Testament espoused eternal torment after death. A worthwhile read.
